We were out in pub with friends, on the wall was a picture of a Hare, Peggy said could you paint that for me. Sometime later I did the painting on the above, left. You can't see it on screen. I put in some real whiskers embedded in Modelling paste, gives a bit more definition. I did this on small canvas in mixed media (and whiskers, from broom bristles).

Then other friends of ours Kev and Bev were just moving to a new home. “Hare” being the major part of their new address. Bev, asked if I could do another painting for them, so this was the one on the right, again I put in the real whiskers. They love it, have it displayed as you come in the front door.
Ragdale Hall

Photo

I was commissioned to paint this Landscape, it is of Ragdale Hall, Melton Mowbray. Karine gave me a picture of the view she wanted, and loved the painting I had done.

I was pleased, as you can see the depiction is reasonable.

Badger (Bodger)

I did this painting for my cousin Ann, she told me a story that her and a friend were out somehow they got talking about Badgers, which became Bodgers, the name stuck! Hence Badger Bodger

Arlington - Blue Bell Wood

I became very friendly working with Vina at the NHS, after both of us leaving we kept in touch following on FB. She posted a picture of the wood and was going to have it printed. I said I would paint it for her. She was over the moon.
The Peacock

The Peacock took me 5 months to make. First I made the canvas, by making a wooden frame then streching, pinning the hessian to the structure. Then applying gesso, sanding and more gesso.

Once dry I started painting the feathers, with acrylic gold paint to enhance the iridescence. Finally the head I applied foam clay to give a 3d effect also securing real feathers for the extra appearance of the artwork.
